Natasha continues with her longest pre-season ever as she navigates the process of getting flights to Adelaide and all the rig moral that goes with it now she hammered out an INCREDIBLE new Personal Best on her Single Leg Partial Squat. She easily belted out 3 repetitions at her previous 180kg on each leg before nailing 200kg for one rep. In fact the weight was so heavy that we could not fit all the weight onto the bar so we had to tie the extra weights onto the bar.

After 2 games in 3 days followed by 2 days of total rest Natasha absolutely nailed her first lower body gym session in a month today. She did a new personal best in every exercise. Also to lift super heavy was never the aim of the session but sometimes things just click. And click is an understatement.

Natasha set a new personal best in her single leg supported squat to partial depth. For reasons to long to explain here Natasha does a single leg partial depth squat in her lower body gym sessions and she has done for years and this week she set a new personal best by lifting 170kg x 2. With a body weight of only 58kg, that is incredible.

Well she is at it again as Natasha wanted to test her strength to check how she was going before she turned 17 years old. Thankfully she had the weekend off football as the Catalan competition had a break and this would allow her time to recover from her testing before her next game. So she went for it.
The videos show what she did and the end result was that she was very happy with her results as she did a Single Leg (supported) partial squat with 143kg for 2 repetitions on each leg

After a very busy 4 months of football that included a trip to Australia to train with the U16 Australian team and over 20 games of football Natasha did one last heavy gym session before shutting things down for a well deserved rest over Christmas. Above Natasha matched her personal best for the Back Squat Single Leg Supported of 130kg plus black bands.

Natasha had a goal to be able to squat 150kg before the end of June 2017. Here she is doing a Single Leg supported half squat with 130kg plus medium bands for 2 repetitions. So the front leg does all the work and squats until about half depth while the back leg just stabilizes to keep her steady and it does very little work. The black bands create an increasing resistance but are generally regarded as about 10kg resistance each and the fact that she does 2 repetitions off each leg suggests that we could safely say she has achieved her goal in being able to do the Single Leg half squat with 150kg. An incredible effort considering she weighs 55kg and is only 16 years old lifting nearly 3 times her bodyweight on one leg.
